Snowshoeing in the Uintahs

Mikey and I packed a lunch, a thermos, hammocks and our snowshoes and headed up Mirror Lake Highway with our furry, little guy.  We randomly chose an empty parking area next to a trail and took off.  We hiked for an hour or so and then set up our hammocks, had lunch and HOT cocoa from the thermos (I am always amazed that those things hold heat for hours and hours!).  

Stanley loves playing in the snow and looking for sticks, but eventually was ready to cuddle and relax with us in the hammocks.  We only saw 2 other people at the very beginning of the trail and then had the rest of the day to ourselves.  What a beautiful area we live in and so much of it we have yet to explore!
