In anticipation of the upcoming travel nurse plans, we knew we needed to clean and organize the garage. We originally wanted to install cabinets, build new shelves, and had all sorts of organizational plans pinned on pinterest. When the day came, we decided to just clean out, declutter and organize, which was probably for the best. We were able to donate our beer fridge to Carli and Chris, bikes to the Bicycle Collective, remodel leftovers to the Restore (Habitat for Humanity), and the rest to Savers (Big Brother Big Sisters). Oh, and a LOT was donated to the trash and recycling bins!
Something about cleaning and organizing just feels so good! It must be the German in me that likes everything "just so..." I have also started deep cleaning out the kitchen and bathroom cupboards to make the exodus a little easier when it arrives.
We have applied with 2 different travel nurse agencies and have given them the go-ahead to start actively looking for positions with a tentative start date of March 1st. This was a negotiated date because Mikey wants to stick around for ski season but I was ready to start travel nursing about 6 years ago! It looks like it might actually happen soon!!!
