Paver Patio

We are still slowly working on improving the yard, bit by bit.  Our last outdoor project of the year: a paver patio for a mobile fire pit.  

We had a huge pile of dirt leftover after the other projects plus we had to take down several inches of dirt in the whole area.  It was a ridiculous amount of dirt to get remove.  It took Mikey, me, Ben and Andy 5 trips to the dump with trailers.  Ugh.  Thank god Mikey convinced me that we HAD to rent a skid steer to scoop up all that dirt.  

After removing all the dirt, making the patio was easy!  Level the dirt, add gravel, level, lay out the weed barrier, then lay and level the pavers.  

Taaaah Daaaah!!!

We planted a few bushes and flowers around the "patio" and next, we will surround it with gravel.  We are all about not mowing grass or pulling weeds.  Slowly, but surely, the backyard is looking nicer and prettier.
