I haven't colored my hair since I chopped it all off (pixie short) in 2004. I have something against coloring my hair: you have to keep up on it, roots grow in and look awful, and it's expensive. But, I was ready for a change and I was either going to chop it off again or color it. I took a quick peek at colors while grocery shopping one day and Mikey noticed. With his encouragement, I chose a red/auburn wash-in. That night, he helped me with the foam dye and... TA DAA! I'm a redhead! I liked the change a lot and the best part was that over the next couple of months, it slowly faded back to my natural color without the root look.
