Marco Island, Florida

Jaimee's father has a condo in Marco Island, Florida.  Jaimee and Matt planned a trip, Mikey and I somehow invited ourselves to celebrate his 30th birthday, and then it only made sense for the rest of the Haberstock family to join.  Suddenly, the first Haberstock family trip in over 7 years materialized!

The "kids" stayed at the condo right on the water and Jaimee's dad's boat was docked right outside.  Diane and Bill rented a house 5 minutes drive and 10 minute boat ride away.

It was definitely an older community, but we found a lot of great restaurants, ate awesome food, drank a lot of drinks, and enjoyed some boating and beach time.

Shuffleboard was our favorite pastime.

Combining Annie's art skills, Jaimee's shopping skills and my rhyming skills, we created an amazing pirate themed scavenger hunt for Mikey's 30th birthday.  Matt was the designated driver and Mikey had to figure out each clue which guided him to the next location.  Each stop had a pirate accessory for him to wear, one or two of his "shipmates," and a shot.  By the time we arrived at the last bar he was already lit, but had to get through a fishbowl of liquor before stumbling to dinner.  Perhaps we shouldn't have chosen such a fancy restaurant for dinner...  Happy Birthday, you old man!!!

Thanks Jaimee and your dad for an awesome trip!  I had a great time with the whole Haberstock crew!
