On Memorial Day, we made the decision to sell our house of the last 5 years. We had been tossing the idea around for awhile and even made a pro/con list. Being rid of James, the yapping Chihuahua next door, made the pro-sell list, as well as not wanting tenants anymore, moving further away from a main street and perhaps even moving somewhere where we could be out of the SLC inversion.
We gave our tenants notice and when we arrived home from Maryland, hired Brandon, my brother-in-law as our realtor, spruced up the yard, repainted the basement, had the carpets cleaned, hosted a garage sale to get rid of excess stuff and scheduled some showings!
